Undersheriff

Undersheriff Greg Haraughty is a 1994 graduate of Labette County High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN 71 until he was honorably discharged in 1998. 

Upon returning home to Labette County, Undersheriff Haraughty began his career in law enforcement working for Mound Valley and Chetopa Police Departments before coming to the Sheriff's Office in 2001.

Over the past two decades with the Labette County Sheriff's Office, Undersheriff Haraughty has proven himself to be a versatile leader, serving as a K-9 Handler, Special Response Team - Team Leader, and Patrol Sergeant. His commitment to the community and his experience led to his appointment as Undersheriff in 2023.
