Fingerprinting
Fingerprints in Kansas are commonly used for criminal history background checks, employment screening, professional licensing, concealed carry permits, adoption and foster care applications, and certain volunteer positions. Fingerprints help ensure accurate identification because every person's prints are unique, and often required for certain positions.
The Labette County Sheriff's Office provides fingerprinting services for employment and background check purposes. Residents need to call and schedule an appointment, by calling 620-795-2565. Fingerprints are completed Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
