Support Services Division
The Support Services Division of the Sheriff's Office provides essential administrative, regulatory, and operational support to law enforcement, the courts, and the community. This division is responsible for a wide range of critical services, including the professional service of civil documents such as subpoenas, summonses, writs, evictions, and other court-ordered papers. It also manages concealed carry permit applications, renewals, and modifications, including required background checks in compliance with state firearms regulations. Additional services include electronic fingerprinting for employment, licensing, and personal identification needs, as well as the management, preservation, and dissemination of law enforcement records, including incident and accident reports, while ensuring compliance with public records requests and confidentiality laws.
The division further oversees sex offender registration and notification programs to maintain compliance with state and federal requirements, handles Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) inspections for title transfers and out-of-state registrations, and coordinates the entry, verification, and support for outstanding warrants. Through these functions, the Support Services Division serves as a vital link between law enforcement operations and the public, delivering responsive, accurate, and professional services with a strong commitment to integrity, efficiency, and customer service. This allows sworn personnel to focus on field operations while ensuring all administrative and regulatory responsibilities are fulfilled effectively in support of the Sheriff's Office mission to enhance public safety and community trust.
