Offender Registration

The Labette County Sheriff's Office is responsible for enforcing and administering the Kansas Offender Registration Act (KORA) for qualifying sex, violent, and drug offenders. Individuals required to register must report in person to the Sheriff's Office within three business days of establishing residence, employment, or school attendance in a county, and must update any changes to addresses, employment, vehicles, phone numbers, online identities, or other required information within three business days. Most registered offenders are required to report in person four times per year during designated registration months, while transient offenders must report every 30 days.

Offenders who need to register can contact the Sheriff's Office at 620-795-2565 to schedule a time to complete their registration.

The Sheriff's Office collects registration information, photographs, and fees, verify compliance, and forward information to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI).

Starting July 1, 2026, every registered offender will be required to pay an additional $10 technology fee at the time of registration in their county of residence. This fee will help fund the new statewide system.

Failure to comply with KORA requirements may result in felony criminal charges.

Residents and registrants can obtain additional information for local offenders using our local search, or at the following agencies below.
