Sheriff Darren Eichinger

 

Sheriff Darren Eichinger is a three-term Sheriff of Labette County. He began his law enforcement career in 1980 while serving in the United States Marine Corps. Following his honorable discharge from military service, he pursued a career in civilian law enforcement with the Fredonia Police Department, where he steadily advanced through the ranks and ultimately served as Assistant Chief of Police.

In 1999, Sheriff Eichinger joined the Wilson County Sheriff's Office as a Detective, further expanding his investigative and leadership experience. In 2001, he was hired by the Labette County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff and K-9 Officer. Through his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to public service, he was promoted to Detective in 2006.

In 2016, Sheriff Eichinger was elected Sheriff of Labette County. He officially took office on January 9, 2017, and has continued to serve the citizens of Labette County with integrity, leadership, and a strong commitment to public safety.
