Jury Duty Phone Scam:

The Labette County Sheriff's Office has been made aware of a scam call circulating in our area. Callers are claiming to represent the Sheriff's Office and telling individuals they have been fined for failing to appear for jury duty.

The scammers are requesting personal details such as your name, phone number, and payment information.

When the number 620-731-9478 is called back, it plays an automated message pretending to be the Labette County Sheriff's Office.

Please note:

• The Labette County Sheriff's Office will NEVER call you to demand payment or personal information over the phone.
• If you receive such a call, do not provide any information and hang up immediately.
