On June 3, 2016 at 01:34 hrs. Labette County 911 Dispatch received a report of several individuals arriving and entering into an apartment, located at 1722 24000 Road Apt #D, armed with guns.  It was further reported that the individuals had already fled from the apartment at the time of the call.

Upon arriving on scene, deputies discovered a man, deceased, lying on the ground, a short distance from the apartment.  Further, deputies observed the man to have what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the stomach.  The name of the man, 23 years of age, of Parsons, is not being released pending notification of family.

The incident is currently being investigated by the Labette County Sheriff’s Office as a homicide.  It is not believed that this was a random act.  The suspects, described as a white male, a black male, and a black female, remain unidentified at this time.
